Aydincik
A small fishing village 50 km after Anamur keeps us under its spell for eight days. We undertake a lot together with the relaxed fisherman Mehmet, sail out in his boat, clean the nets together, have picknics in the mountains. Our fishing is fruitless most of the time, only once Mehmet catches six small fish, which he sells to a restaurant immediately.
But we like his relaxed way of life and we too take on his low speed of life. Like Mehmet delaying the repair of his nets from day to day, we delay our departure from each day to the next.
On the 23th of April we celebrate with Mehmet and his family the turkish feast of children
“Cocuk Bayrami”. The next morning we leave Aydincik with a little regret, it was a pleasant camping place here in the fishers harbour.
