With a lot of love, colour, cloth and household stuff it became the Jahmobil, our mobil home. There we lived in summer or on short journeys.

Some years later it came in our mind to travel to Afghanistan by land, we chose the Jahmobil to master the route.
But exactly at that time according to our mechanic  ``a curse laid upon that car´´ and he refused to repair the Jahmobil once more, he never had experienced before, that so much could get broken in one car in so little time. But we stuck firmly to the Jahmobil for our travel vehicle. Maybe it would not come back, but it would get us to Afghanistan, that we were sure of.
Most of our friends disagreed: ``to Italy  - or to Turkey at most´´. Bets were made among them, when the Jahmobil was to quit its services, noone relied on the bus to span a distance further than to Eastern Turkey. The list of repairs seemed to verify the opinion of our friends.

After two useless changings of motor we decided for an expensive motorservice, to exclude all difficulties.

On the day of departure, the last day of carneval 2001, the Jahmobil was aged 27.
Because of the slow “running in” after the total service, we needed nearly two days to cover the distance Graz  – Triest. From there we got to Greece by ferry.

We lived in, around and with the Jahmobil

It took us home reliable after 25.000 km, although some repairs were necessary on the way.

Caused by the technical examination authority.

Cause of death:
Front plate-springs, rubber parts for joints,
track rod, wheel supports etc . . .
