April,25th–May,9th - Fergy-Garden

April, 25th – May, 9th | Fergy-Garden
Fischerdorf
It is nice by the sea, chugging slowly from one fishing harbour to the next, but it is also getting a little boring, only relaxing is not the right thing for us. In the gardens around us spring is in the air, we thinked of home wistfully, about the start of the planting season and we miss our garden.
So Ewald gets the idea of a Fergy-Garden as a remedy against boredom and melancholy, he will try to plant with green the roof of the tractor and the left fender and find out which plants are able to resist the speed and the vibrations.
From now on our stops and walks take place according to the dust bins, because alike the Turks we want to set our plants into big tins for olive-, cooking- and motor oil. The canisters are opened, much to the regret of my good kitchen knife and filled with earth, for nutrient Ewald mixes it with dry cow dung.
Soon the canisters fill with a rose, unknown foilage plants, of which we hope they will flowers some day, pumpkin, melanzani, pepperoni, bush-beans and in Kizkalesi I am given a tomato, this becomes my living room plant, which is put to the sun at every stop. In the trailer it is soon impossible to move, everywere canisters are standing, we have to find a welder, so they can be fixed outside.

At the last tip of land we find a garage that is willing to do the work for a small few and the fixing of an advertising sticker on the trailer. The garage has the necessairy material in stock, which is a rare thing in Turkey.

So we are all happy again, against boredom Ewald can beautify the canisters with lacquer, I have space in my mobile home again and for Atreju there is an attraction in the fishing harbour, a tame pelican, which of course wi visit and watch every day.
